One image, every capsule.
Drop your key art in and watch what the crop does to it. The image never leaves your machine: everything here runs on a canvas in your browser.

Which store page
The full set for a base game. A demo and a DLC each get their own appid and their own store page, so they take the same pixel sizes — but not the same list, and not the same composition rules.
Caveats
- The corner box is our margin, not a Valve spec. Valve has moved the discount flag and the “Coming soon” banner more than once, and it renders at different proportions in different surfaces. We draw 18% × 20% in the bottom-left corner and leave the small capsule alone: at 462 × 174 a bigger box fences off a third of the art for what Steam draws as a corner flash. Treat it as “do not put the logo here”, not as a pixel-exact template.
- The safe area is a convention, not a rule. Nothing crops the inner 90%. It is the margin that stops your logo touching the edge in a grid of a hundred other capsules.
- Previews are downscaled. Very large capsules (the 3840 × 1240 library hero especially) are drawn at a fraction of true size on screen. The PNG you download is always rendered at full resolution.
- Images over 4096 px are downscaled once on load to keep the browser responsive. Export your final assets from the original file, not from this tool.
- Demo and DLC assets are the part we could not fully verify. Steamworks says a demo’s capsules and library assets must show that the app is a demo, and it lists the same pixel sizes for any app with its own store page. It does not say whether a demo or a DLC falls back to the base game’s art when you upload none, and it does not say that Steam adds a “Demo” flash of its own. So the badge here is lettering you place yourself, not a preview of something Valve draws. Upload and look at the real page.
- This is a framing check. It is not a substitute for uploading to Steamworks and looking at the real store page, which you should do before you announce anything.
Sale grid, true size
462 × 174, actual pixelsThis is how your small capsule sits in a sale row next to everyone else. If the title is unreadable here, it is unreadable in the only place most people will ever see it. Scroll the row sideways.
DLC rows
184 × 69, the size the row is read atSteam derives a 184 × 69 thumbnail from your 462 × 174 small capsule. That is roughly the size a DLC row is read at, so here are four of them stacked. Every pack carries the same base-game lockup, which leaves the pack name as the only thing telling them apart. Type your real names in and see whether they still read.
The names stay in this browser. The share link carries the framing only.
